Last February 2011, the World Bank expert, Mr. Mario Antonio Zelaya, paid a two-day visit to a number of PWP implemented projects in the sectors of health, education, and stone pavement in Sana’a City and the governorates of Sana’a and Amran.
During the visit, the expert listened to Area (2) manager, Eng. Hassen Al-Hubaishi; the Water and Environment Specialist, Eng. Abdelwali Al-Shami; and Eng. Mohammed Al-Emadi, the Area Branch Manager who gave a full description of the nature of the implemented projects , the number of beneficiaries, the job opportunities provided, and the positive impact of such projects.
He also listened to the beneficiaries explaining the difference that PWP interventions have made to their life and the great extent of benefit they gained from these projects.
At the end of the visit, the expert, Mr Zelaya, expressed his great satisfaction with the significant role PWP played in improving the living conditions and in alleviating the suffering of the remote and poor communities through its interventions in projects implementation.
