The fisheries sector is a promising sector the government is relying on its impetus to set the development wheel forward. This led to signing the  agreement in October 2008 between the Ministry of Fish Wealth and the PWP within the framework of the National Strategy for Development of the Fisheries secto. According to the agreement, the ministry of fish wealth will provide the necessary funding for subprojects that the PWP will undertake to implement Mainly necessary infrastructure such as fish landing sites.

Achievement‭ ‬

The total implemented projects in the fisheries sector through the years 2014 -2016 is three (3) in a total cost of USD 3,372,528 with about 6,233 beneficiaries and provided 1.102 work/months as job opportunities to accumulatively reach 9 projects at a total cost of USD 5,178,776 with about 28,093 beneficiaries and provided approximately 10,820 work/months as job opportunities.
