The PWP is playing an active role in combating the Cholera outbreak in the country,especially in poor and  areas of displacement. The PWP works to provide safe and clean water sources,builds public latrines,rehabilitation of the sanitation networks,and pavements of residential areas and neighborhoods to rid them of insects and epidemics.

During the identification phase for subprojects,the women awareness teams conduct awareness campaigns on the spread of Cholera by distributing various awareness materials such as posters and pamphlets to village women. The teams have so far distributed around 980 awareness material.

The PWP,in coordination with INGO's,also distributes "Hygiene kits" in Sana'a,Mahweet,Amran,Dhamar and Marib.
