The Public Works Project Management is Racing Against Time in the Preparation of Studies, Tendering and Contracting for Projects Implementation.
The PWP Management Unit has been keen to alleviate hardship caused by the current conditions in the country. It has mobilized every resource and capacity to conduct studies, identify priority needs for sub-projects at governorates, district, sub-districts and villages in the Republic of Yemen. This has resulted in sets of sub-projects offered for competitive biddings to contractors for implementation.
The PWP has accomplished this feat at record time, and as of the end of December 2018, a total of 1,571 sub-projects were contracted at a total cost of US$100 million.
Table No.2 shows indicators for completed and contracted sub-projects for (YECRP, Islamic Bank: Rural Development + Youth Support), USAID, and the Urban Development Project, at governorates level as of the end of December 2018.
