During his visit to the Mount Al-Faras road paving project in Sira District of Aden & Al-Khansaa school in the Old City of Sana'a, the Administrator of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), Mr. Achim Steiner, praised the level of partnership between the UNDP and PWP and the role of PWP in helping to provide decent livelihoods for many Yemenis around the country.

Mr. Steiner listened to the beneficiaries in Aden explain the importance of the intervention by the Public Works Project for paving the Mount Al-Faras road. Prior to this project, people had to endure daily suffering caused by the difficult access to the area. Resident had to use donkeys to transport goods, daily necessities, and sick people.  He also heard about the role of PWP in the rehabilitation of Al-Khansa School and the satisfaction and joy this has brought to three- thousand students in the school.

For his part, PWP Director, Eng. Saeed Abdo Ahmed praised the continued support of the UNDP for the PWP and the keenness to provide future funding for the Project.
