In an on-going effort, PWP continues to strive to achieve development and to provide priority essential services most-needed by the people. This effort is contributing to the provision of livelihoods and a life of dignity, especially in the remote areas and areas most affected by the current situation in the country.
PWP has succeeded in the achievement of optimum economic benefits of the YECRP - a World Bank funded program in partnership with UNDP. It has attained the specific objectives of the program in a highly efficient and transparent manner winning the admiration of everyone, at home and abroad.
Continuing the same level of success, PWP has been utilizing other available funds from the Islamic Bank, USAID and the Urban Development Project, to implement sub-projects that touch the daily lives of people and reduce hardships that have reached critical stage.
As of the end of September 2019, PWP completed 1,500 sub-projects in the water and sanitation sectors, rehabilitation and restoration of schools, agriculture and irrigation, and road paving, creating 2.6 million work days.
