The United Nations has described the crises in Yemen as the worst man-made humanitarian crises the world has seen.
Based on this, alleviating the suffering, and aiding people of Yemen under such dire economic and social conditions is the noblest forms of humanitarian action. The work done by PWP is valuable because it preserves life and provides essentials for a decent livelihood. PWP strives to provide such assistance in all its field activities.
However, limited resources have placed PWP in a precarious position having to deal with surmounting challenges and pressure because of increasing needs for basic services. Available funding, in the best-case scenario, only cover about 5% of PWP’s absorption capacity.
International community’s support is therefore vital to keep PWP providing critical services, reducing hardships and suffering of children, women, and IDP’s and to continue to lend support to livelihoods all over the country.
