PWP has launched the cash for work project in the Old City of Sana’a being implemented in partnership with UNESCO and funding from the European Union.
The project aims at improving livelihoods for young people in urban centers in Yemen through the implementation of labor-intensive activities. The objective is to achieve a multiplier effect by rehabilitation and rescue of about 30 homes on the verge of collapse in the historic city of Sana’a, and rehabilitation of al-Fulaihi and Kudhair squares and Bab al-Sabah area.
In addition to the Old City of Sana’a, the project aims to implement similar activities in the cities of Aden, Zabid, and Shibam-Hadramout in partnership with UNESCO and European Union funding.
