Al-Gahda Street, which is connected with Al-Nusseirah neighborhood in the north-west of Hajjah city , the various types of transportation, including motorcycles, were unable to move on this steep slope on normal days. In the rainy season, the disaster is greater and the suffering is more deadly as floods attacks the houses to leave behind financial loses for family heads every year.The movement of the people of the neighborhood is also less difficult to describe as a difficult journey with suffering.
Works project relieves suffering
"After the pavement of Al-Gahda Street, which is connected with the Nusairiya neighborhood by the public works project, the motorists breathed a sigh of relief. At the rainy season, we used to move on the neighborhood and let the riders to get off at the at the bottom of the street to continue to walk on the remaining distance to their homes ,crossing the street is difficult because of slips and the consequent damage to the car or taxi"the 30-year-old driver of the small taxi , Ibrahim Mohammed Qeshuba, speaks and signs the joy and smile on his face as he crosses the street of Al-Gahda.
The driver Ibrarhim Qashwa adds that " The cost of the trip used to be(1000 Y.R) and after paving the road it becomes (500 Rial Riyals), and the suffering of the parents in the treatment of patients and taking them to the hospital become less , which is no less important than the low cost of transportation.
This year no fear of rain
This year's rainy season, which is only a few weeks away from the mountainous Hajjah province, is no longer a concern for the people of Al-Gahda neighborhood, as it was in the past, according to the citizen Mohammed Ali Hadi, who stood by the Public Works Project feeling safe and not afraid of their homes from the flood waters.
